Well, this is exciting...!

It has been ages since I've written a blog post, but as I've got some exciting news about two brand-new series coming your way, I thought this was a good time to do so. Please grab a beverage and maybe a biscuit, and read on. šŸ˜˜

As you may (or may not) know, my new book, A Summer Escape (which can be pre-ordered here) was originally intended to be book 1 of a new series - but we then considered making it book 5 in my Norman Landing series, because it's about Geneva McBriar who appears in books 3 & 4. With me so far?

The new series is/was set in a fictional village a mile from Folkestone, Kent, called Betancourt Bay, and A Summer Escape is set on Locke Isle, a fictional island two miles off the coast, so it tied in perfectly.

The problem is, I loved Locke Isle and all the quirky residents so much that I wanted to write more books set on the island!

So, after much debate, A Summer Escape is book 1 of my new, Locke Isle series, which will link to my new Betancourt Bay series, via the real town of Folkestone! All these books can be read as standalones.

Phew! I hope this all makes sense. My brain's been like a whirlpool with all these ideas/thoughts/books/changes going round and round in my head. But the final decision has been made.

A Summer Escape, book 1 in my Locke Isle series is on pre-order now and is out in a matter of days. Within the next few weeks, you'll see more of my Locke Isle books, and some of my Betancourt Bay books, popping up for pre-order, including two ā€“ yes two ā€“ Christmas books. I'm so excited!

Oh ... and there may even be a little spin-off book set in WWII and now, about a woman as courageous as Mia's Great-Aunt Matilda in my hugely popular, Lily Pond Lane books - but I haven't written that one yet!

Well, that's it for now.
