At 310 feet, this is the highest point on the white cliffs around Betancourt Bay. You can see Locke Isle from here while seated on the bench, and on a very clear day, even the coast of France. Lookout Steps lead down to the sandy beach - but there are 300 steps, so most people access the beach farther along, where the cliff paths aren't so steep and there are fewer steps.

James and Margaret Hart live here. They have two daughters, Fiona and Naomi. Fiona lives in Folkestone with her boyfriend. Naomi is single and lives in Lewisham (London) where she rents a flat with two friends.

Jean and Victor Mills live here. Their four children, Tom, Rob, Zoe and Tara have all moved away but they come home for high days and holidays.
Betancourt
Ancestral home to the Betancourt family which currently consists of Archie Betancourt, his second wife, Bianca (his first wife Francesca, died) and his two sons, Grifforde (known as Griff) and Russell.
Mr and Mrs Bernard and Barbra Brimble's B & B
Barbra describes herself as 'a people person'; people describe her as 'a nosy gossip' - but not to her face. She loves to sing, and often does, whether others want her to or not.
Clifftop Farm
Once part of the Betancourt's estate, but now a small holding owned by Sandy and Sonia Grey, most of the farmland having been sold-off by various Betancourts over the years. Sandy and Sonia are known for taking in all sorts of waifs and strays, both human and animal.
The Royal Oak pub
Although highly unlikely, legend has it that King Richard (The Lionheart) once sat beneath the ancient oak tree opposite the pub, on his way to join the Crusades. Owned and run by Freddie Tollard and his daughter, Charlotte (Charlie)
The White House
Home to Simon and Patience (Pat) Eversley and daughters Grace and Hope along with their dog, Lady Elizabeth, known as Lady E. The Eversleys run an Events company, Eversley Events from here.
The Rectory
The Reverend Brian Copeland and his wife Daisy live here.
St. Gabriel's Church
With a bijou village hall attached. The church was built in 1086, the hall in 1946.

Elderly sisters, Rita and Vera Boot have lived here all their lives.

Greg Bishop lives here. He owns a bookshop in Folkestone.
Oak View Cottage
Molly Law has recently inherited this cottage from her grandmother, Millicent. Molly lives in Folkestone with her parents, Owen and Nikki.
Betancourt Bay Café
Owned by Derek Dunpole and his (miserable) wife, Doris, who had much grander plans than running a café in a small village, as she constantly reminds her long-suffering husband.
Naomi Hart is now the owner, after a stroke of good fortune comes her way and allows her to buy the café.
West Wood
Owned by the Betancourts but they allow the villagers to use it.
East Wood
Also owned by the Betancourts, who allow the villagers access.
