Neva and her family rent Lime Cottage (the lime green one) for Christmas.

The red cottage (Ruby Cottage) is owned by village gossips Cecil Dale and Ronnie Gale who live with their cat, Persephone.

Across the road – the dark blue cottage (Bluebell Cottage) is owned and lived in by Penny and Roger Pyke and their daughter, Taryn.

The purple cottage (Lavender Cottage) is lived in by Ethel Lother. She's 88 and never wears her false teeth. She worked as the cook at Wynter House until she retired and her daughter, Penny Pyke took over. Norman (Ethel's deceased husband) was the former butler.

The dark green cottage (Emerald Cottage) is owned by Queenie Farr, 85, who dresses like the queen and has 2 corgis, Boris and Duchess.

George Wise, 73 and former gardener at Wynter House, lives in Primrose Cottage (the yellow one)

Mabel and Lionel Relf live in Sunset Cottage, (the terracotta one) but they spend a lot of time with their son in Australia.

People have died here after leaping off Seahorse Point.

Kids tombstone off here. That's jumping off the 30 feet high cliff into the treacherous seas below.

Leading to the Weeping Eye

When the tide is out, there’s a pool in this cave where you can swim... but you can only get to it via the sea or by climbing down from the top of The Weeping Eye. Make sure the incoming tide doesn’t catch you, or you'll be in serious difficulties.

Shops and cottages

Norman church built 1069

The ancient oak in the centre of the village, and right beside the church. There's a bench here where you can sit and watch the world go by. It has a view over Memorial Gardens and the rest of the village, right down to the sea.

Known as TGS - it sells everything from food to newspapers to bucket and spades.

Rock pool large enough to swim in and ridged, black rocks that form a sort of circle in front of the village.

Village bakery

She's a school teacher in the nearby town of Easterhill. She's Orla Fulbright's teacher …. and she's got a rather huge crush on one of the village residents.

Asher Bryant lives here. He's the village vet.

The Olde Forge. Liam Fulbright gave up his career in the city to become a ceramicist after his wife's death. He converted The Olde Forge into his pottery, workshop and shop.

This is Diana Dunn's holiday home. She is Josie's twin sister. Diana and her gorgeous husband, Alex, a heart surgeon, spend their summers here with their kids, Becca, 15 and Toby, 13, along with a loveable hound called Henry.

Things get very steamy in here between one couple.

Widowed dad and ceramicist, Liam Fulbright lives here with his 16-year-old daughter, Orla. His wife, Una died of cancer 3 years ago.

Happy Hot Dogs, Pool Pizzas and Ice Dreams (Ice cream parlour) are here, plus the Lido and, of course, several static mobile homes and caravans.

Seaside Cottage. Aunt Elsie lives here. She is Josie and Diana's aunt, and Tibby Parnell's older sister and was widowed very young. She lives life to the full and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.
